ES9 - Japanese Cuisine: Rice Porridge, Kombu and Pickles
Today's story is part of a series called The Food My Grandmother Cooked, and it was told to me by Mio Nakayama.
My grandmother is 83 years old and her name is Kishie. She is a really caring and warmhearted person, and is very fit for her age. She travels overseas once a year and this year we went to Borneo together for my wedding, it was her 30th trip abroad. Sadly, when she was 35 years old her husband died, as a result she started to run her own bar to earn an income, as well as taking care of my mother by herself.
